POSITION DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

The Information Technology Department currently has an opening for a Lead Programmer Analyst. The primary responsibilities of this position are to perform specialized technical and analytical work related to the development and maintenance of computer and web application programs and systems. The successful candidate will write, test and implement applications using the appropriate choice of programming language to optimize application performance, perform onsite analysis with end users to determine requirements and analyze work processes/data flows, generate programming specifications, and serve as a source for programming and system design technical advice. In addition, this position offers technical support to other programmers and may supervise Programmer/Analysts on large projects.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
Minimum Qualifications Required

•Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Computer Science or a related field. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum qualifications may be substituted.
•Three years of experience in application development required.
•Valid Texas Driver's License.


Preferred Qualifications

•Municipal experience preferred.
•Knowledge in SharePoint 2007/2010 administration and application development.
•SDLC Methodology
•Basic project management skills
•Communication and presentation skills
