Job description:
Assists with development, implements, maintains and modifies emergency operation plans for the City of Corpus Christi and City Annexes. Prepares and presents public awareness programs to civic groups, medical facilities, schools and private organizations. Assist in planning, execution and evaluation of exercises, drills, classes and special events. Assist in coordination in Emergency Operation Center activities including, but not limited to severe weather, hurricanes, flooding and any other natural or manmade disasters. Prepare paperwork for grant applications and grant reports on a quarterly basis. Responsible for reviewing Health Care Facilities emergency plans. Assist and prepare departmental reports, and other administrative functions of the EM Division. Responsible for creating incidents in WebEOC. Responsible for public awareness through the social media. Assists with other duties as needed.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
Work requires an Associate's Degree and four (4) years or related experience or a combination of education, experience or training may be considered. Must have knowledge in Emergency Management. Must have a valid driver's license at the time of application and time of hire. Experience with program or project management preferred. Mid-level proficiency with Word, Excel, Power Point and WebEOC. Emergency Management Certificate preferred.
