Job description:
Directs, plans and manages the activities of the City Secretary's office; must be computer literate; prepares City Council agendas, prepares minutes and various monthly reports for council approval; manages the records for the city, to include employee's personnel files, insurance claims, serves as HR and Elections officer; response to open records requests, insures the compliance of the Open records law; provides staff support to city council and the city manager's office.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
High school diploma and one year of progressive experience as a City Secretary in municipal government. Texas Municipal Clerk Certification (preferred) or obtainable within three years of employment; have a valid Texas driver's License and safe driving record; obtain notary public certification within six months. Ability to communicate and establish effective working relationship with employees, supervisors, other agencies and the public. Pass criminal background check
