Job description:
Fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair of traffic control signs, and barricades. On call one week per month for emergency needs related to traffic control.

Attendance is an essential function of this position. The City reserves the right to require an employee in this position to work overtime. This position provides services or performs duties for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations. These may include services or duties different from those performed in the usual course and scope of your job. In the event of an evacuation, the incumbent in this position may be required to remain to perform needed services.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
REQUIRED:
1. High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
2. One year related experience or equivalent formal training in signs, barricades or signal maintenance as applied to public streets in a governmental environment.
3. Valid Texas driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
4. Complete Electronics and Basic Cabinet Troubleshooting from TEEX or IMSA within 18 months.
PREFERRED:
1. Some formal training in signs, barricades, or signal maintenance as applied to public streets in a governmental environment.
2. Prior supervisory experience.
