Job description:
This is a Civil Service position subject to Chapter 143 Local Government Code. Works 12 hour shifts, depending on assignments. Duties involve routine patrol either by motor vehicle or on foot, responsibilities of controlling traffic & enforcing all traffic laws, prevent vandalism & damage to property, and protect human life. Specific & general work assignments are received from superior officers, plus the employee works independently using personal discretion and judgement. Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
Requires a High School diploma or GED cert and completion of schooling required for TX Basic Peace Officer Certification and shall be licensed by TCLEOSE. Must possess a current driver license, possess valid TX driver license at time of hire. Must be able to read and write English.
