Job description:
The City of Mesquite is seeking a Help Desk Clerk within the IT Department. The Help Desk Clerk will assist users with computer software and hardware problems, will also consult with Information Technology support staff to determine if onsite support is needed. Will take appropriate action to dispatch support and to manage a city-wide personal computer inventory, and manage accounts payable functions and process purchase orders for computer software, hardware and related equipment.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
•Requires an Associate's degree or accredited technical school certificate in personal computer and/or network support or a certificate of competency in personal computer and or network support.


•No experience required, however two years' experience in computer information's system user support may be substituted for the educational requirement. A High School Diploma or GED is required when substituting work experience for the educational requirement.


•Must possess a valid Class C Texas driver's license.


•Must be available to work M-F 8am5pm.
