The Recreation Supervisor of Athletics and Aquatics position is unique as it allows an individual to learn various aspects of the recreation center. As such, a diverse set of skills is required. General Responsibilities Recruit, hire, and train part-time employees and contract instructors. Responsible for athletic and aquatic program planning, development, research, implementation, oversight, advertising, and promotion. Monitors and assists in the preparation of the annual budget. Prepares payroll and weekly reports for assigned area/group. Job Requirements Education, training, experience: Evening, weekend, work required (some holidays). Must possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Must have knowledge of CLASS software, including facility booking, program registration, and membership registration. Experience in developing and managing athletic leagues and tournaments is required. Skilled in developing and managing individual budgets required. Bachelor’s degree in recreation or closely related field; AND three to five years of progressively responsible related supervisory experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Texas driver’s license with good record. Must obtain CDL license within one year of hire. Must obtain AFO/ CPO certification within 1 year. Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within one month of hire.
