Job description:
The maintenance manager is responsible for the overall maintenance plan for all aquatics facilities. This position will lead the development of the preventive maintenance plan for the facilities in order to extend the natural life of all assets and keep unplanned downtime to a minimum. This position will plan, direct, control and manage all aspects of the attractions and facilities maintenance to ensure all attractions and facilities are maintained at the highest level to ensure the safety of guests and team members. In addition, this position will assist in developing and managing the maintenance annual operations budget as well as develop and implement a long range rehabilitation program. Ongoing product enhancements will require this position to coordinate with various ride vendors in order to ensure proper preventative maintenance schedules as well as possible upgrades. This in a managerial role and as such will be leading a team of maintenance attendants. This position will be required to work after normal business hour and weekends.

Attendance is an essential function of this position. The City reserves the right to require an employee in this position to work overtime. This position provides services or performs duties for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations. These may include services or duties different from those performed in the usual course and scope of your job. In the event of an evacuation, the incumbent in this position may be required to remain to perform needed services.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
1. Associates degree in Kinesiology, Recreation or Health Promotion from an accredited college or university OR combination of equivalent year’s education and experience.
2. Three years directly related experience.
3. Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or ability to obtain within 2 months of employment.
4. A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
5. Supervisory Experience.
1. Bilingual/Spanish.
