Job description:
Performs administrative duties and possess general office skills such as general phone skills, data entry, cash handling, mathematical computation, letter preparation, report writing, and computer skills, (including Incode, SETCIC & Blackboard Connect). The position requires good customer service, communication, organization ant time management and the ability to work with the general public. We are looking for a team player that is also capable of working independently. This applicant must also be able provide proper decision making within the scope of their responsibility.

Attendance is an essential function of this position. The City reserves the right to require an employee in this position to work overtime. This position provides services or performs duties for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations. These may include services or duties different from those performed in the usual course and scope of your job. In the event of an evacuation, the incumbent in this position may be required to remain to perform needed services.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
1. High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
2. Cash handling experience
3. Must complete the Texas Municipal Court Education Center training program within one year of hire date (full-time) or within two years of hire date (part time). Must be able to attend twelve hours of TMCEC sponsored school per year thereafter.
4. Must obtain TLETS/TCIC/NCIC certification and Justice Information Management Information System for Juveniles Certification within one year of hire date.
5. Must be bondable and able to become a notary.
6. Two years of progressively responsible office and computer experience in Microsoft Office.
7. Clear criminal record (background investigation will be conducted).

2. Associate’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university or combination of equivalent year’s education and experience.
