Job description:
Performs deliveries and warehouse duties including cycle counting of inventory, ordering inventory as needed, receiving and stocking of shipments from vendors, filling requisitions for internal customers, assisting warehouse manager as directed, and overall neatness and cleanliness of the warehouse.

Attendance is an essential function of this position. The City reserves the right to require an employee in this position to work overtime. This position provides services or performs duties for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations. These may include services or duties different from those performed in the usual course and scope of your job. In the event of an evacuation, the incumbent in this position may be required to remain to perform needed services.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
REQUIRED:
1. High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
2. Valid Texas driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
3. Six months related experience, including inventory
4. Ability to operate forklift.
5. Ability to read and to write legibly.
6. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office
PREFERRED:
1. Basic public purchasing experience.
2. Knowledge of greater Houston area.
3. Knowledge of auto and plumbing parts.
