Job description:
The Transportation and Public Works Department’s Infrastructure Plan Review Center (IPRC) is seeking a Professional Engineer to serve as a Project Manager for the delivery of developer driven infrastructure projects. Project Management duties include review of plans, construction contracts, change orders, easements and other standard project-related documents; coordinating, discussing and identifying solutions to project issues with other departments involved; reviewing Community Facility Agreements (CFA) materials in support of CFA Management Office; and coordinate, attend and lead multiple meetings with City staff, consulting engineers and developers as necessary to discuss project matters. All of the work is carried out in an extremely fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
Bachelors’ Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Civil Engineering or a related field PLUS four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience of which two years must be in infrastructure project management for new developments.

Microsoft Office computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project required.

Familiarity with Buzzsaw, CPMS and Primavera 6 are pluses.

Possession of registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas or in a state that Texas extends reciprocity is required. If reciprocity is extended, a State of Texas registration must be obtained within six months of employment.

Possession of a valid Class “C” drivers’ license and an acceptable driving record is required.
