Job description:
Under the direction of the Aquatic Supervisor, assist with the operation and maintenance of the Pearland Natatorium and manage the part-time aquatic staffing. Plan, design, implement, and manage revenue generating aquatic recreation programs and events.

Supervises part-time Natatorium staff including Head Guards, Lifeguards, and Water Safety Instructors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
Bachelor Degree in Recreational Programming, Organization and Administration of Health, Physical Education/Recreation or a related field required.

Two (2) years related experience demonstrating a proven history of coordinating youth and adult athletic/aquatic/recreation programs, including one (1) year of supervisory experience in an aquatic environment; a combination of education and experience may be considered.

Prior experience with school districts, preferred.

Aquatic facility management experience preferred.

Lifeguard Instructor, Water Safety Instructor, American Red Cross Lifeguarding, Certified Pool Operator/Aquatic Facility Operator required (or obtain within the first six (6) months of hire.)

Blood Borne Pathogens: Preventing Disease Transmission, Administering Emergency Oxygen, Lifeguard Instructor Teacher, Water Safety Instructor Teacher, CPRP (Certified Parks and Recreation Professional) preferred.

Valid, Class "C" Texas Driver's License, required.

Municipal Government experience preferred.
