Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
All police department candidates are subject to a complete background investigation, physical strength/dexterity testing, psychological analysis and polygraph examination. Requirements include: High School Diploma or equivalent (12 college credit hours required for GED candidates), valid Texas Driver’s License without restrictions except “A”, United States citizen, twenty-one (21) years of age or older, clear driving record, no felony convictions. Previous Police Officer and TCLEOSE certification preferred, but not required.
