Job description:
Performs work related to the maintenance of City owned Water Treatment Pump stations, pump station grounds, pumps and motors. Coordinates maintenance and construction of said properties with external contractors; consults and works with engineers on Pump station rehabilitation and new construction; schedules inspections of water facilities in compliance with city operational guidelines and TCEQ rules and regulations. Responsible for ensuring timely reporting of plant data, monthly testing required by TCEQ rules and regulation, and maintenance of records retention in accordance with State guidelines.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
REQUIRES High School Diploma or GED; an Associate’s Degree is preferred AND five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in water treatment plant operations and minimum two (2) years supervisory experience. MUST have a Class B Water License or be able to obtain a Class B in one year, a valid Texas Class C Driver=s License, will be required to obtain the appropriate CDL license within 6 months, and driving record must meet or surpass guidelines set forth by the City of McGregor.
