Job description:
Inspects private sewer lines and monitor and inspect discharges of wastes by commercial and industrial facilities. Assists in protecting the EPA requirements and TCEQ guidelines by surveying, monitoring, inspecting, and sampling discharges of wastes by commercial and industrial facilities.

Attendance is an essential function of this position. The City reserves the right to require an employee in this position to work overtime. This position provides services or performs duties for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations. These may include services or duties different from those performed in the usual course and scope of your job. In the event of an evacuation, the incumbent in this position may be required to remain to perform needed services.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
REQUIRED:
1. High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
2. Valid Texas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
3. Computer literate in Word and Excel.
4. Must obtain a Wastewater Class D certification within one year of hire date and a Wastewater Class II or Class C certification within two years of hire date.
PREFERRED:
1. Class II or above Certification of Competency from TCEQ.
