Job description:
This is an exciting and rewarding position with the City of Baytown, part of the dynamic Sugarland/Houston/Baytown metropolis acknowledged as one of America’s top 5 regions for jobs. This role performs hardware and software technology support to the staff of the City of Baytown. An individual in this role is responsible for the operations and maintenance of all end user peripheral devices; workstations, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, and other related equipment. The Computer User Support Specialist also performs initial network troubleshooting activities.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
REQUIRED:
1. High school diploma or equivalent GED.
2. Experience or training in PC hardware/software, and troubleshooting.
3. Experience or training in Microsoft Office Applications.
4. Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.

PREFERRED:
1. Associates Degree in an information technology related field.
2. CompTIA A+ Certification
3. Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): Windows 7
4. Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS): Office 2010
