Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the City of Denton’s fuel program and automated fueling infrastructure.

Maintains critical fuel supplies for the City of Denton
Monitors automated fuel system, including fuel inventories, fuel transactions and tank levels of all fuel sites
Schedules replenishment of fuel inventories, issues purchase orders, orders fuel and maintains site records in accordance with TCEQ requirements
Maintains functionality of the automated fuel system hardware
Inputs data into the automated fuel system
Reviews fuel usage and odometer readings, performs daily reconciliations of fuel inventories
Posts transactions daily, reconciles errors and prepares daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required
Ensures proper fuel pricing is updated as required
Locates and attends training on legislation and regulations related to fuel storage and dispensing
Prepares specifications for fueling system equipment purchases and assists with specifications for fuel contracts
Schedules preventative maintenance on fuel equipment, responds to regular and after hours site failures and customer reports, troubleshoots malfunctions using diagnostic tools, provides corrective maintenance and coordinates with vendors to repair fuel system malfunctions
Monitors compliance and assists with site inspections to ensure compliance with all TCEQ and federal mandated laws and regulations
Conducts analysis on fuel and equipment usage, prepares and submits reports to fleet management
Provides excellent customer service

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalency with four to six years of progressively responsible experience in the operation and maintenance of a fleet fuel program
Associates degree from an accredited college or university with two years of progressively responsible experience in the operation and maintenance of a fleet fuel program
Any combination of related education, experience, certifications and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job
