Job Description


Job description:
): Operates spray truck and/or slope mower and/or interstater. Keeps the rights-of-way and medians mowed and sprayed. Keeps ditches mowed to prevent flooding and control rodents. Performs general repairs and light carpentry work. Cuts limbs in right-of-ways. Orders parts and materials. Installs and repairs playground equipment.

Attendance is an essential function of this position. The City reserves the right to require an employee in this position to work overtime. This position provides services or performs duties for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations. These may include services or duties different from those performed in the usual course and scope of your job. In the event of an evacuation, the incumbent in this position may be required to remain to perform needed services.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
REQUIRED:
1. High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
2. Two years of related experience.
3. Valid State of Texas Class "B" commercial driver’s license with endorsement of air brakes, cargo, cargo, and combination must be obtained within six (6) months of date of hire.
PREFERRED:
1. Possess a Certified Non-Commercial Applicator’s License issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture.
2. Valid class “A” CDL Texas driver's license with acceptable driving record.
