Job description:
Coordinate and monitor compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements for the Electric Utility. Maintain required records and databases required to meet compliance, environmental, and safety requirements for the electric utility. Prepare, arrange, and administer meetings and training sessions.

Principle Job Duties

1. Assist in the monitoring, tracking, coordinating, assimilating, submitting, and recording of the required transactions and reports required to meet compliance and Environmental Regulatory Agency requirements for the Electric Utility to include, but not limited to, maintaining required records and databases and establishing the processes required to meet regulatory, training, and safety requirements.
2. Assist in the development and implementation of programs and processes necessary for regulatory compliance, required training, environmental, and safety related items. Prepare, arrange, and administer meetings and training sessions.
3. Prepare and submit reports, respond to inquiries, and provide data on reliability standards compliance in accordance with the ERCOT, NERC, FERC, and Texas RE requirements.
4. Represent the utility as the compliance SME in audits, investigations, meetings, committees, and communications with regulatory agencies.
5. Work to establish a network with compliance, environmental, and safety SME’s in other utilities to develop utility “best practices”.
6. Keep abreast of changes and updates from state and federal regulatory agencies and determine how they will be addressed by the utility.
7. Work with Superintendents and area SME’s to address current compliance, environmental, and safety issues and assist in identifying future budgetary needs.
8. Set up programs and track information related to equipment testing, environmental requirements, and utility certifications.
9. Assist Electric Compliance Officer, Director, and Assistant Director in special projects.
10. Assume Electric Compliance Officer’s duties in their absence.
11. Perform other duties as required.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
Required: Associates Degree and three (3) years accounting and/or clerical experience, preferably in the electric utility industry; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Valid Texas driver’s license.

Preferred: Two (2) years experience related to the electric utility industry. Associates or Bachelors degree. Experience with Regulatory Agency requirements for an Electric Utility.
