Job description:
Perform installation, operation, and maintenance on a variety of Motorola RF technologies and Cisco family of Wi-Fi devices. To include hand held and mobile radios, emergency announcement systems, microwave networks and Wifi components for all City Departments. Candidate will partner with other municipalities and vendors to identify best value solutions to Department requirements.

Attendance is an essential function of this position. The City reserves the right to require an employee in this position to work overtime. This position provides services or performs duties for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations. These may include services or duties different from those performed in the usual course and scope of your job. In the event of an evacuation, the incumbent in this position may be required to remain to perform needed services.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, & EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED:
1. Training in electronics technology.
2. Valid Texas driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
PREFERRED:
1. Cisco wireless training.
2. Motorola radio training.
3. FCC License.
4. Experience deploying Radio Frequency technologies.
5. Experience deploying mobile/wireless solutions.
