Job description:
The Administrative Technician is responsible for performing a variety of administrative, secretarial and special projects throughout the department. The Administrative Technician interacts frequently with members of the general public, vendors, other City employees and other governmental agencies.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, college preferred. Excellent administrative and technical skills required, including Microsoft word. Keyboard requirement is 50 wpm (computer tested.) Excellent spelling, filing, telephone, and organizational skills, including a strong sense of urgency. Must be able to communicate with elected and public officials, general public and co-workers in a positive manner. Regular attendance is essential. Working occasional evening hours will be required for attending meetings. Must be able to pass a drug screening and background investigation.
