Job description:
The North Central Texas Council of Governments seeks a Temporary Human Resources Assistant to be a part of a growing organization that is making a difference in communities in the North Texas region. The purpose of this position is to provide administrative and project support to the Human Resources department and assist with operational processes and procedures. This is accomplished by performing routine tasks, coordinating department functions and providing assistance with special projects that will require support in the area of recruitment, benefits, training, performance management and other functional areas as needed.

The Temporary Human Resources Assistant will be hired in a Temporary Full Time status and continued employment will be based on funding. Position will be eligible for most benefits offered to all full-time employees, such as employee paid health insurance and paid leave. Starting salary will be $15.58 per hour.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
Work requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature which may be obtained with a two-year associate's degree, diploma or equivalent from a college, technical, business, vocational, or correspondence school in Business, HR, or related field of study. In addition, this position requires 1-3 years of work related experience in an HR environment. Experience related to applicant tracking and performance management systems is strongly preferred.
